Professor Elizabeth Cartwright

Professor Elizabeth Cartwright, Department of Anthropology, Idaho State University

Expertise in structural vulnerability and health among immigrant and ethnic populations in the US, Mexico, Peru and Bolivia. She focuses on systematic ethnographic methodologies that use text-based narratives and visual data.

Professor Cartwright has extensive experience in obstetrical nursing and publishes in the fields of anthropology, nursing and women’s health. She is the co-founder of Crescendos Alliance a non-profit organization that uses community based participatory research to improve the lives of farmworkers in the US and South America She is currently working on WEF issues among the vulnerable elderly in Belize, Central America and South Africa.
