On 31 July – 1st August 2023, Lucy Khofi attended the 2nd African Philanthropy Academic Conference. Hosted at the Museum of Black Civilisations in Dakar, Senegal; academics and pracademics from across the continent interacted through discussions and presentations that were framed with the theme of the conference titled “African Philanthropy at an Inflection Point”, four dimensions these being People, Power, Policy and Practices. Lucy was presenting on a parallel Parallel Session 2 Group K: Emerging Frontiers for Philanthropy in Africa. Lucy’s presentation highlighted the South African local interventions with the aim to achieve United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 5 (Gender Equality). Lucy is a founder of Women’s Health Ekklesia NPO and an Award-Winning Women’s Health Activist.
